How to wear a non-medical mask or face covering?

1. Make sure the mask or face covering is clean and dry. Make sure your hands are clean before touching it (wash them with soap for 20 seconds or, if that is not possible, use hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol)
2. Push your hair back to keep your face clear.
3. Place the mask or face covering over your nose and mouth and secure it to your head or ears using its ties or elastics, adjusting it until it covers your nose and mouth.
4. Adjust the mask or face covering securely over your cheeks.
5. Wash your hands or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer after adjusting your mask.

Important: Avoid touching your face. If you touch your mask or face, you should immediately wash your hands with hot water and soap for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.

To remove a non-medical mask or face covering

1. Remove it using the ties
2. Throw it in a garbage bin (preferably with a lid)
3. Wash your hands according to the same instructions provided above.
